The buzz is only just quieting down from this summer’s ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. #FeelingNuts is all over social, generating attention for testicular cancer. Now that we’re into October, campaigns supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month are in the spotlight. Not only is this a cause that hits close to home, it’s one that is close to our hearts.
We are honoured to have partnered with the Friends of the Moncton Hospital on a number of occasions to bring awareness to, and raise funds for, cancer causes. First with the Renovating the Spirit Campaign, which raised $1 million for a new oncology unit, and again with the Mammography Matters Campaign, which raised $1.1 million to provide vital screening equipment and decreased wait times from 54 weeks to almost nil.
We were also privileged to work with the Atlantic Cancer Research Institute on their awareness campaign earlier this year, which was able to raise 45% of their $10 million goal in just 8 weeks.
We’re proud to spread love for non-profit organizations and are thrilled when a cause-related campaign manages to not only raise funds, but piques interest and creates a movement of giving as a result. In honor of this special month, we wanted to shine some light on other Breast Cancer Awareness campaigns that we thought did just that:
